REDBOURN LOCALITY
Redbourn is a small English village set between the towns of Harpenden, St. Albans and Hemel Hempstead and close to Luton/Luton Airport. The village has local shops, a few restaurants and several pubs that serve good food. It is just off the M1 at Junction 9. The Aubrey Park Hotel is a 20 minute walk from us.
Food
Most pubs and restaurants serve vegetarian and fish dishes. There are halal stores in Hemel Hempstead and Luton. Luton also has a large Asian/Muslim community and numerous restaurants also serve vegetarian and halal dishes.

HOTELS
- We are located outside of London, approximately 25 miles north of central London.
- Although Redbourn is in a village location, it is local to the main towns of Harpenden, St Albans, Hemel Hempstead and Luton, all of which are linked via road and are served by taxis, bus and rail networks.
- All these towns are within a few miles of each other and also have train links to central London as well as rail/bus links to London airports.
Rail Links
- Harpenden, St Albans and Luton are connected to central London and Gatwick Airport via the ‘Thameslink’ rail service.
- The ‘Eurostar’ train service terminates at Kings Cross / St Pancreas train station which is also on the ‘Thameslink’ line.
- Hemel Hempstead is connected to central London’s Euston station, a short distance from Kings Cross / St Pancreas.
- Harpenden train station is the closest and fast trains operate into central London regularly and take 20-25 minutes.
- There is a taxi rank at each of the local train stations.
London Airports
- London Luton is the nearest Airport and a taxi to Redbourn/Harpenden and is between £18-£25, depending on the time of day.
- London Gatwick and Harpenden are directly connected by the ‘Thameslink’ train line and the journey time is about 80-90 minutes.
- London Heathrow is connected to London Luton via a coach service, alternatively the London Underground can be taken into central London connecting with the ‘Thameslink’ train line.
- London Stansted is connected to London Luton via a coach service, alternatively, overgound trains can be taken into central London and then back out to Harpenden.
Road Links
- We are located just off the main M1 motorway, between junctions 8 & 9
- The M25 motorway at junction 21 connects to the M1 at junction 6
